Litter Pick 16 April 2016

The New Cut Heritage Trail group along with Warrington Borough Council and the Community Pay Back team and local residents carried out a litter pick along the New Cut in the morning from Bridge Lane to Nottingham Park and in the afternoon from Bridge Lane to New Cut Lane.

A large skip was filled with a variety of items from a 48″ TV to 2 xboxes in a suitcase.

The weather was excellent for both morning and afternoon and 15 people turned up both morning and afternoon.

We would like to thank everyone who turned up to help and give up their time.  Events like this make the area very pleasant to walk, run and cycle along.  It is a shame so many people insist on fly tipping when the tip is only a short distance away.
